YOU’LL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO

Quarter back your own team of Spectrum Junior technicians.

Monitor and pro-actively manage and control overall project success.

Take ownership of project financial performance including accurate/on-time reporting.

WHO YOU ARE

First and foremost, you’re self-driven, result oriented with a positive outlook, and clear focus on high quality and business profit.

You are a natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. One who appreciates need for consistency within company’s branding and installation practises.

You must be able to demonstrate success and experience managing major accounts customers, rollouts and small and large projects.

As a proven leader, you are mature, credible and comfortable in dealing with customers, contractors and employees. You are reliable, tolerant and determined. You are keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability.

Reporting to a Project Manager, the ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience in structured cabling installations.

Must have the ability to install, terminate and test the following: Category 3, 5e, 6/6A, multimode and singlemode Fibre and Coaxial.

Must have the knowledge of reading blue prints, ability to complete end-to-end installations unsupervised, delegate responsibilities to junior technicians, test, certify and commission voice and data cables and complete as-built drawings.

Report to manager and project manager(s) site updates, status of jobs and required work change orders.

Ability to perform pre-site surveys at customer sites.

Ability to assess job site conditions at various stages and the ability to produce required bill of materials.

Service, troubleshooting and maintenance of existing clients’ infrastructure.

Effective communications skills and a strong command of the English language.

Knowledge of RF and Wi-Fi is an asset.

Must be able to work days, evenings or weekend shifts as required depending on project or scope.

Must follow and adhere to safe work practices.

Must have valid driver’s license in good standing.

YOU’LL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO

Be a part of a dynamic team of employees working on some of the most challenging and rewarding telecommunications project all over BC.

Challenge yourself on several types of Installation and Commissioning sites including cell towers, rooftops and monopoles all over BC.

 

WHO YOU ARE

First and foremost, you’re self-driven, result oriented with a positive outlook, and clear focus on high quality and business profit.

You are a natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. One who appreciates the need for consistency within company’s branding and installation practices.

You have 2-years or more experience as a competent Fiber Optic Telecommunications Technician.

You have experience with the commissioning and installation of Cell Tower technical work, Microwave Radio HOPS, Fiber Optic Cabling systems.

You are familiar with DC Power Systems.

You have the experience and ability to read and understand Equipment Release Forms and Method of Procedure Documentation (MOP).

Must be comfortable working at heights.

Must be familiar with antenna and transmission line systems on towers, roof tops and other structures.

Must be able to read blue print and assembly drawings.

Must hold current fall arrest and high angel rescue certifications.

Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs.

Able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Must be able and willing to travel for extended periods of time.

Work well on a team.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Must be able to learn quickly and follow instructions carefully.

Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Possess a valid driver’s licence is an asset.
